Due to an encounter with a product, I call liquid love. I became ecstatically happy, but I also became bewildered and confused. But I had this burning desire to find out the answer to many of my questions. What is this thing called liquid love? What does Triune really mean? Do miracles still happen? What does it mean to fall in love with God? Who is Jesus or is His name is Yeshua, so confusing? The Holy Spirit lives where? Meditation that's Bnot Biblical or is it? Why is it music speaks to our souls? I'm really concerned if I share my story. Many people may think I'm losing my mind. Well, I've decided to run that risk and share my story with you the listener, So get ready to unpack the most incredible spiritual journey of my life. But first, let's get acquainted. Hi, my name is Lori. Grab your favorite cup of coffee and your favorite chair. And let's share this time. The reason for this podcast is I've been on an incredible journey for the last 24 months, and I felt the need to share. My journey has been one of the discovery of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. It includes family, friends, music, meditation, photography, and writing. And yes, I now have a blog. By trade, I'm a freelance professional photographer. And I worked at the time as a staff photographer for a magazine by the name of Spotlight Families based out of Boca Raton, Florida. I'v e li ved in South Florida, my entire life with the exception of the last four years. We are now residents of the beautiful state of Tennessee. I'm married to a wonderful understanding guy by the name of Phil. And he gets me and I thank God for that.

Speaker 2:

I'm the mother of four adult children that have turned out to be amazing caring humans. And they make me proud. They have bless me with some beautiful grandchildren who keep me on my toes and fill my home with laughter. I've been blessed with two wonderful parents who have loved me unconditionally my entire life, and still worry when I don't check in. And that's something that will never change. As we travel back in time. And I share my story with you the listener You will now become a part of this incredible story. Before we start on this incredible ride, I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself. My life has not been one that has been seeking religion or God for that matter. Now don't get me wrong. I was baptized as an infant. My godparents were Catholic and my parents allowed them to baptize me. So yes, I had my head sprinkled. I was married in my twenties. I was divorced in my thirties and at this life scar found me going back home to Miami, with my two children. And I moved in with my parents. At that time, my parents were attending a Pentecostal church in the local area. Needless to say we started attending the church with my parents as well. I felt my children needed a foundation in the church and my parents, I did it for them as well. Looking back at my time there, I felt when I attended there, I was going through the motions and it was a pretty robotic type of atmosphere for me. I did not engage in things there at the church. So I really feel my background of any type of religion did not grow there. My religion, I say I got in Hollywood. I saw the movies at Christmas time. I saw the movies at Easter and that's what I based my facts upon. Now let me move the story a few years forward. At this point I had met my husband. We moved to Coral Springs to raise a family and had started my photography business. And at this point I started working for the magazine by the name of Spotlight Families. On a normal workday, I would meet Shawn and we would have maybe five to 10 clients that we were going to go interview and do the photo shoot at the same time. She would do the interview piece and I would do the photography. And that's how our days went. Now, there was one particular photo shoot that stands out in t he story. And that's when I feel this story actually started. It was a typical sunny, Florida day. And we were scheduled to do a photo shoot that day. We were going on location to interview and document her son's first voice lesson. I arrived at the Sherlock home, approximately 10:00 AM. It was a well-groomed Florida home with palm trees swaying i n the warm beach breeze. I was greeted by her two energetic sons. The oldest was a subject for today's shoot. He is a bright, polite, quirky young man with a new love for music and the arts. He has a wonderful smile and curly dark brown hair. The younger one is approximately four years old and he's got that rough and tumble kind of kid with just an adorable personality. The home had all the details of a happy Florida family. It had toys scattered about and a fluffy white dog that came to greet me. Shawn soon came into the living room and we shared our hugs and hellos. She has long blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. She's a caring, friendly, bubbly soul. I adore working with her. She advised me we needed to wait for her babysitter, and then we would carpool. The babysitter arrived and we were on our way. We arrived at the client's apartment, approximately 11:20. As we approach the door, the client opened the door and welcomed us in. Shawn handled the introductions. The client was comfortably dressed in a big sweater that draped over one shoulder and her hair pulled up on top of her head, much like a high ponytail. The apartment was tastefully decorated. She had a keyboard set up by a large picture window and a guitar standing majestically in the corner. The focus soon became the music lesson. S hawn sat down comfortably on the couch and watched her son interact with th e t eacher. Now, normally I shoot with a zoom lens, so I don't disturb my subjects. And today was no different. The teacher stood and showed him how to do many warmup exercises, including breathing techniques. And soon they returned to the keyboard and she showed him how to pinch his cheeks and blow through his lips. This makes such a funny sound and he laughed and you could see he was so awkward with the moment, but he's such a good sport. He did everything the teacher asked. As they were working together. I spotted a Grammy award on the table in the dining room. She politely asked me not to take a picture of the award. She explained to belong to her boyfriend and she wanted to respect his privacy. The lesson ended and we were saying our goodbyes. And I mentioned to her that my son-in-law's is in the music business as well, and I might be moving to Nashville before the end of summer. She laughed and told me, she's thinking of moving to Nashville as well to pursue her music career. I told her if she did move to Nashville to please look me up and let's do lunch. And this is where the afternoon ended. But I believe this is where my journey began. I would like to leave you the listener a question to think about till next time. Do you think things happen for a reason? Do you think people come into your life with a purpose? I do and I do believe there is a bigger picture. This is my invitation to you the listener to come back as I unpack everything that happened on this amazing ride. As we travel back in time through the episodes I am going to answer all those questions I stated at the beginning of this episode. And I want you to know there is a reason I am here and its for you the listener.
