Triune LOVEs me
Spiritual Signs
Show Notes Transcript

When we experience spiritual events do we embrace them or do we not understand the significance of the moment? Can we receive messages from a loved one from Heaven? Does God create moments in our lives to open our minds and our hearts to the possibilities? Come with me as I share events that seemed to be guiding me to a much bigger picture. It’s a moment that has blown my mind.

 John 16:13
The Spirit shows what is true and will come and guide you into the full truth. The Spirit doesn’t speak on his own. He will tell you only what he has heard from me, and he will let you know what is going to happen. (CEV)

Speaker 2:

Hi everyone. Welcome back. This is Lori. I'm so happy that you could join me again today. It means a lot to me that you have taken time out of your busy day to listen to my story. The last episode ended where spirituality had just started to seep into my story and it was mind-blowing. So we have a lot to discuss today. So grab your chair grab your cup of coffee and let's share this time. Over the next few weeks, we stayed in contact with my friend and she was still sending me music and the children were loving it and they were learning all the lyrics. And then one afternoon she called me and say, Hey, how about lunch? And I said, that'd be great, but I'm at my daughter's house and I am babysitting the kids. But I only have the baby where would you like to meet? She suggested Whole Foods in Franklin, I said great let's just meet there. We met and Whole Foods we went inside, I put the baby in the c art and as we proceeded to go through the isles, she was singing her songs to the baby. And the baby was having such a great time. We finished lunch. And then she suggested that possibly coming by the house and surprising Scarlet. And I thought that was such a great idea because Scarlett really loved her show. We arrived at the house and she went and hid in the basement. The school bus arrived and then Scarlett came into the house. And my friend popped out of the basement and said surpise!! Scarlett was so thrilled and so suprised. They looked like two friends that have not seen each other in a long time. The kids really enloyed her company they watch tv together they played games. And she told me how much it meant to her to be around family because she was missing her family so much. As night fell the kids got ready for bed. And I put them down for the night. And this is when thing started to get really interesting. And we sat on the couch and shared conversation. And as we did, she texted her mom. When she did that, we started finding out that her mom and I were in the same places in North Miami at the same time.. We went to the same dance studio. We went to the same theater. I ushered for a play that her grandfather was in. There were just so many dots that where connecting that evening. It was surpising We stayed talking for a long time. It was about two in the morning. And I told her, listen, I really need to get some sleep. I have to deal with the kids in the morning. Why dont you spend the night? She said, thanks. But I think I'll go home. And I said, okay, but do me a favor and text me when you get there, because I want to know you got there safely. And she said she would we said our goodbyes. It took her about 45 minutes to get home. And when she got home, she texted me, like she said she would, but then we started texting each other and it seemed like we were answering each other's questions before they were even asked. It was the stanges thing. And then I told her, listen, it's really getting late. I need to go to bed. I have to deal with the kids tomorrow. I going to say goodnight and she said ok goodnight. Now, when I said goodnight, I was in the living room and I proceeded to put my phone down on the coffee table when suddenly[inaudible]. This bright light came out of my phone. So I grabbed my phone, I turned it over and I looked at the cover on my phone and it was Beyonce's song sweet dreams. And I thought, wow. Oh my God. So I sent my friend a text message saying, Oh my God. And she responded, Oh my God, what? So I sent her a snapshot of my screen and she responded, Oh my God. Now you can say, Oh, that was just a coincidence. But if you travel with me through this whole story, you're going to find out that there are more than just coincidences. This moment gave me pause. And I found myself researching anything I could about spirituality, because I just knew there was something more. It seemed like our lives were intersecting a lot at this time. And I was able to get her an invitation to join a writer's camp at my son in law studio, where I was also the photographer there that day. It truly was a great time. There was musicians in every room and music coming out from everywhere. It was really insightful to watch all the musicians and see how they create songs. I finished capturing all the images of the day. And then I packed up my things. I said, my goodbyes and I was on my way. Then one day she called me and said, Hey, how would you like to go to this lantern lighting in Kentucky? And I said, wow, I wanted to do that back in Boca and never got the chance. I would love to do that. And I said, I hope you don't mind. I'd like to invite all my family. And she responded, no, no problem. Go ahead. So I called my daughter and she was excited as well. So we put it on the calendar. We were all looking forward to going. Now, my friend continued to send me music and a lot of unpublished tracks. She sent me a track of a song and I began to listen to the song. And as I listened to this song, I started to cry. You have to understand I'm not a crier. So this was new territory for me. So I texted her and I said, song is beautiful. How come it's not out? And she says, well, it might be coming out. I have a friend of mine. Who's a Grammy winner. He does new age music. And this song is scheduled to be on the album. And I said, you need to do this kind of music. It's beautiful. Why aren't you doing this type of music? And she says, I'm not religious. I said, this religion, this is spiritual. She told me she would think about it. She thanked me for being such a big fan. And the conversation ended. We had weeks go by and we seem to be talking every day. And it seemed like our friendship was growing at record speeds. The lantern lighting was coming up to Saturday and my family found that they had other obligations. And then we're not going to be able to go. So we decided to make this little adventure our own. So I got up Saturday excited about the day I'd met her in her garage. And she went to check the mail. Before we left. She left me sitting in the car and then she came all excited. She showed me an envelope. She goes, guess what this is. And I said, I have no idea. She proceeded to open it. And she showed me the cover and it had her song on it that she told me might make the album. And it did. So she proceeded to open it up, stick it in the player, in the car. And it started to play. And we both started to cry. Now you need to understand showing this type of emotion is a whole new experience for me while the music played, we got on the road and we started our trip to Kentucky. We arrived at our destination and it was a cow field in the middle of nowhere in Kentucky. Now it had a fair type atmosphere. It had a lot of families, children running beach chairs, coolers, just a real picnic, wholesome environment. We got in line. We paid for our packet and checked in. We looked for a good spot. We found one, we set up our two chairs. We set up our cooler and we began to look what was inside the bags. When we checked in, they had told us that take out the lantern and write any names of people that we might miss or any kind of dreams that we might have. She proceeded to do hers. And I did mine. She had written down her friend who had passed away. And I had written down my sister who had passed away from cancer. And we also wrote down our dreams. And then I told her, I'm going to take a walk and take photos. And as I walked around the whole area, it was an amazing sight. The music was playing in the background and all of a sudden the sun started going down and what an amazing sky, it was in the most beautiful colors of orange and yellow. The sky was gorgeous. And as I stood there in the middle of this crowd, I just looked around and I just felt this peace was there. And I walked over, sat down and we watched the sun go down. And as the sun was going down, there were people scurrying around lighting the Tiki torches, where we were going to lighter lanterns. So we got up, got in line. As we got close to the front of the line, we asked for assistance because we were unsure what to do with the lantern. She went ahead and started doing it first. And she lit the accelerant at the bottom of the lantern. And they told her as soon as it tugs to let it go. So she did it filled up with air and she tugged and she let her go. And then it was my turn. I lit the accelerant, I felt the tug and I let it go. We stood together in the crowd of people and other people were also letting their lanterns go. And the sky that was once black, all of a sudden was illuminating. And all of these lanterns were dancing across it. It was the most amazing moment. It seemed at that particular moment in time, that time stood still when suddenly my phone vibrated in my pocket, I reached in and pulled it out. And I looked at my phone and there on my phone was a picture of my sister. And I go, Oh my God. And she says, what, what is it? And I turned my phone to face her and her words were she's here. I smiled. And my eyes began to well up with tears. And I said, I know we both became very quiet as we stood there in the darkness and continue to watch the lanterns dance in the sky. But like all good things. The event was coming to a close people, started moving about and packing up their things. We gathered our belongings and made our way to the car. And we got in and things were really quiet at that point. My thoughts were, this is a memory that I'll never forget. Now, some of you that are listening are probably saying, Oh, that's just a coincidence. That kind of stuff doesn't happen. And then there's ones that have had similar incidents that know in their heart that there is a bigger picture. And they're also searching, perhaps my sharing, my journey might answer some of those questions you might be having. And for the ones that are doubters, perhaps it might open your heart to a whole new possibility. Thank you for listening. I hope you enjoyed our time together. As much as I have wishing you an amazing week this week filled with abundant love. This is Lori signing off. Be kind, be loved and be the amazing you.
