Show Notes Transcript

Join me as I travel back in time. And I share a word from our Bible word study and meditation. I have fused them together to create a self-narrated story called The Master Hands.

We are all a work in progress. However, if you surrender your life to the master’s hands (Jesus) he will lovingly mold you into a beautiful gift for our Heavenly Father.  🤟🏼❤( and it won't hurt a bit 😍)

"You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit." ... In this way, you imitated both us and the Lord."

1 Thessalonians 1:6, NIV:

Speaker 2:

Hi and Welcome back. This is Lori and I'm so happy that you decided to join me again today. It really does mean a lot to me. And for those of you who this is the first time that you've decided to listen to my podcast. Welcome. Now, before we get started in sharing, I'm going to tell you, like, I always do grab your favorite cup of coffee, your favorite chair, and let's share this time. I'd like to take a moment and kind of recap my podcast just for the new listeners. Now, my podcast consists of the first 15 episodes being my testimony, and that starts with a Holy Spirit encounter. So, if you haven't had a chance to go back and listen to that, I really hope you do so. And now we're on to season two. We've actually completed seven episodes. This is episode 22. And what we've done here is taken a word from a Bible word study that I did with a friend of mine. We studied one word a day for over a year, and it's been an amazing journey. If you want to find out anything about that, please go look at my blog. It's also called Triune Loves me and you won't be disappointed if you try it. Trust me. It's an amazing way to study. Now, once I isolate a word, what I do is I go look in my journal and I find my meditations. And usually I'll find a meditation that I can compliment. One of my words with and create a story for you. My listener, what I'd like to do, I'd like to do something a little different today. You're already in a comfortable chair, grab a blanket and make yourself nice and cozy light a candle if you must or even incense, because that's what I do. When I meditate. I also listen to music, but for this exercise, what I'm going to ask you to do is listen to my voice and the music that's behind my voice. And I'm hoping that it transports you into my story. Are you ready to try it? Let's do this. This is called The Master's hands. I listened to music that moved my soul while meditating and praying. And my mind went here. I was in a church cathedral. It was beautifully majestic. It had an off-white marble altar with golden in lays. Ornately placed on the wall. Behind the alter was a beautiful prism of stained glass within a large arch window. It held various shades of blues greens and yellows. The glass allowed a light to filter in with an unusual beauty and warmth. And the light seemed to have a rhythmic dance shining throughout the sanctuary. Off to the righ I spotted a Potter's wheel and I thought, O oh, maybe I would get a chance to catch a clay artist at work. I love art. So I sat in the front row and quietly waited. And then to my surprise, Jesus walked in and He approached the Potter's wheel. He grabbed the apron that sat close by. He placed the neck tie over His head and tied. The waist ties behind His back. The apron showed signs of wear and many uses. The apron was dark in color, but had a white powdery substance sprinkled across it. His hand prints were visibly seen where He must have wiped his hands. He approached the wooden stool in the front of the potter's wheel. He mounted the stool, like someone who would Mount a saddle, ready to ride a wild horse. He grabbed a small white cord that sat on the table and tied his wavy Brown hair away from his face. I could now see His amazing blue penetrating eyes. I could sense his kind soul. He began to roll up the sleeves and nodded His head and spoke softly. I remember His voice. It had such a soothing sound. And He said, this clay represents you. And we're going to see what you might become. Are you ready? And He chuckled and said, this won't hurt a bit. Do you trust me? And He smiled. And I thought, wow, what is amazing? Beautiful smile. I smiled back and sat up and leaned closer. I felt an excitement along with a hint of apprehension. Just thinking about what the mound of clay would become. I loved watching him work. His hands were strong. His in artistry showed signs that this was not the first time He had molded a life. I've heard that he has made many beautiful pieces and is considered a master at his craft. I felt such a peace in my soul because I know in my heart that I trust him with my life. The wheel squeaked, as it's spun, you could see the concentration on his face. As He went the clay and began to tediously work, he was being so deliberate and cautious. You could see, he wanted to include every detail. He brought his face up and looked at me in the eye and said, this is going to be a gift for our father. And it needs to be made with great love. So you may want to get comfortable. As it may take many years, I have faith that my father will love it as much as I do. And he smiled. And the meditation ended. The lesson I learned that day from that meditation is we're all a work in progress. However, if you surrender your life to the Master's hands, he will lovingly mold you into a beautiful gift for our heavenly father. And like He said, it won't hurt a bit.

I'd also like to share this scripture with you today. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature and old things are passed away. That second Corinthians 5:17. I truly do believe that storyline, I am a work in progress and it's going to take years to get me there. I never thought I would be doing a podcast or a blog. And here I am doing both. He's made me step way out of my comfort zone at every turn. I also got invited to do an interview for a fellow podcaster. His name is Kevin James, and the podcast name is The Millennium Beat. I want to take a moment to thank Kevin for giving me the opportunity to share my story with others. He doesn't know how much that means to me. So please give it a listen. I open my heart and I share with him many details about my journey and it can be found on all the popular podcast directories. So I hope you do listen. Thank you for listening. I hope you enjoyed our time together. As much as I have wishing you an amazing week this week filled with abundant love. This is Lori signing off. Be kind, be loved and be the amazing you. Please hit the subscribe button and the like button. And leave me a comment I truly would love to hear from you.
