Show Notes Transcript

Have you ever wondered what the message may have been? What did Jesus write?

Join me as I travel back in time. And I share a word from our Bible word study and meditation. I have fused them together to create a self-narrated story called "Message in the Sand".

‘Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now, what do you say?’ They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.” (John 8:3-6)

Hi, and welcome back, this is Lori. And I'm so happy you decided to join me again today. It's been an amazing ride a nd all of you have been a special part of my journey. Today's episode is just a little different for me. I'm recording o ffsite in a location that's very special and dear to me. I'm recording and Triune, Tennessee. I would have to say that I'm probably a few hundred yards away from where I had that Holy Spirit experience. And that's what placed my feet on the most amazing journey I had ever been on. And now you a re part of that journey. So I'm going to tell you, like, I always say, grab your favorite cup of coffee, your favorite chair, and l et's s hare this time. Now, many of you already know that season two of this podcast is made up of two components that h appened during my journey. I have a Bible word study out there on a blog called Triune Loves Me and I also meditated during my journey. So what we're doing is taking a word from my Bible word study and pairing it with a meditation and giving you a story that I hope touches your soul. Today's word is sand. There are approximately 33 scriptures in the Bible referencing sand. The definition of sand; is a grandular material composed of f inely divided rock and mineral particles that can be found on beaches, R iverbed seabeds, and deserts. Now you, the reader must be thinking sand, sand, really such a peculiar word to study when we're studying the Bible. And I would have to agree. So why did this word show up? How did it arrive In my thoughts? I asked a simple question. A few weeks ago, I had discussed with a friend about the time Jesus showed us not to judge, but to have great compassion. Even with great peer pressure. He stood firm and he did what he thought was right in his heart. I will take to the scripture, John chapter eight, verse six, where it's documented that Jesus was tested. He bent down and with His finger wrote something in the sand. Now what was written has been a big mystery and there really is no proof. There's a lot of speculation, but my curious mind wanted to know more. This question haunted me for a while, and now there's one more idea. But I can't take credit for it. It came to me during a meditation. I did not even have this in my mind at the time it just happened. So I thought I would share it. Now, let me set the stage for the meditation. The room was dark and cool. The lights were softly burning. I lit incense. I laid the chair back all the way I put my headphones on and I listened to a song called Yeshua. And soon I drifted here.

:

I was on a beach. The water was a beautiful Aqua color. It had large black, smooth Boulder size rocks outlining the shoreline. The waves were crashing and rolling in as to kiss the shore, you could hear the roar of the ocean. I could see the sun rays as they've danced across the surface of the water. I could smell the salt in the air and I could feel the warm sun upon my skin. I soon saw white horse being ridden fast. I could see the sand fly almost in slow motion action. As the horse hooves hit the smooth wet sand. At first, I was just standing off to one side. When I looked again, I was on the back of the horse, holding onto Jesus tightly, but quickly the scene changed and we were sitting on the shoreline and the soft beach sand. He seem to be writing something in the sand. And I asked him, what did you write in the sand? So many years ago, He looked up and smiled and looked down and continued to write. So I got up, walked behind him and to my surprise,He had written, I love you. And I began to physically cry and the music faded and the meditation ended.

Speaker 2:

So when I read the scripture from time gone by, I know in my heart, it was, I love you. That was written in the sand that day. And yes, He did it twice because some of us are harder to convince than others. How could it not be the answer? He was not sent here to judge us. He was sent here to teach us how to love. He was sent to teach us how to treat others. He was sent to teach us how to stand up for what's right? Even if it goes against what others think or do, I do think it's in our human nature to judge. But we must look at our own hearts before we throw that stone. Show. Compassion show love. Be the change. Let's learn how to love from the master. It's Him. It's always Him. There are no reasons on this earth that can change his love for us. He wows me. And let me leave you with this scripture. How precious also are your thoughts of me, of God? How vast is the sum of them? If I could count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake. I am still with you. T hat Psalms one 39 verse 17 through 18. Thank you for listening. I hope you enjoyed our time together. As much as I have wishing you an amazing week this week filled with abundant love. This is Lori signing off.
