Speaker 2:

Hi and welcome back this is Lori, and I'm so happy that you decided to join me again today. It's been an amazing time of sharing. We started this journey together in September. We're now in January, and we're on our 23rd episode. That blows my mind. For those of you who have just started joining me. Welcome. And if you want to know a little bit about me and my story, please go back and listen to the first 15 episodes. That's my testimony. Now, before we get started, I'm going to say like, I always do go get your favorite cup of coffee. Your favorite chair get comfortable and let's share this time. Now, as we travel back in time, you the listener and me, we're going to take a journey into my word study, where I pick one word and also into my meditations. Now, when I say that I share my meditations with you, the listener I'm actually giving you a peek into my soul because when I meditate, sometimes I get a story that unfolds and I write them down. So that's what we're going to do today. We're going to pair a word with my meditation and I hope it touches your soul. So if you're ready, I suggest closing your eyes and let's get transported together. The word today is rain. Rain is grace. Rain is the sky to desending to the earth without rain. There would be no life. That's a quote by John Updike, the meaning of rain moisture condensed from the atmosphere that falls visibly in separate drops in the King James Bible. Rain has mentioned approximately 94 times. Rain has such an amazing cycle. There are four stages of this cycle, consisting of evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection. This heavenly gift is such a substantial product for our very existence and has set upon the earth since the beginning of time. It even recorded in scriptures that it rained 40 days and 40 nights and a flood cleansed the earth. Giving us the opportunity of a do-over. Well, when I look around, I'm concerned just how well God thinks we're doing.

:

Hmm, not to dwell on that question because I do believe it could cause some of us, some anxiety and many heated discussions. So I'm going to take the high ground and move on. Did you know our bodies consisted of 50% water. Water's responsible for the photosynthesis, which produces breathable oxygen. Water is also responsible for our food supply. I could go on, but I'll ask you, have you truly looked at rain? Have you ever just stopped and listened to its rhythmic sound? There's such beauty with each droplet, as it comes, racing towards earth. And then when they sudden stop it disperses into multiple droplets that quenches the parched ground and brings forth new life.

Speaker 2:

Rain also has such beautiful cleansing properties. When I think of raindrops, I see the much like our tears. They both fall when things become very heavy. When we take the moments to stop and see the amazing wonders our heavenly father thought of in just seven days it boggles the mind. He truly is the only amazing wonder it's him. It's always him. And in Deuteronomy 32. 2, it says, let my teaching fall like rain and my words to send, like, do like the showers on a new grass, like the abundant rain on tender plants. Now let's get ready for the meditation. Close your eyes and travel back in time with me on this particular day, I was feeling a little melancholy and I really felt the need to meditate. So in my search, I stumbled across a meditation called God's love. The narrator had such a soothing voice. However, her words spoke to my soul and the music that accompanied her words, softly tugged it, my heart and my mind drifted here. I could see God sitting majestically on a large cliff, overlooking a vast baron Valley. I was alone in the Valley and a strange peaceful force was drawing me to him. As I came into His presence, I fell to my knees. My hands stretched out wide. My palms up my eyes closed my face, pointed upward towards Him. I felt such a feeling of home. I just lingered in this state taking in the amazing moment. No words were needed. My soul seemed to speak words of love to Him. Behind me a crowd seemed to be gathering each person falling to their knees o r their arms stretched out. Palms up. Everyone was positioned in a posture of peace and acceptance. It was not d iscussed, but we knew in our hearts w e'd come to him with an unquenchable thirst that only he could fill. As He stayed sitting on the cliff, I could see his hair and his beard were white. His robe had a soft golden color that glimered in the light. Purple streamers that s eem to flutter in the gentle breeze. He had a wooden staff that had a large round carving at the top. He held t he staff in his left hand and stood up. We could see his broad shoulders and his large frame. His presence demanded a strength like nothing we had ever witnessed. He looked at the crowd that had gathered. It seemed like He knew each one of us personally, his eyes welled up with tears and His facial expression was one of t he p arent that i t just found a lost child to the state of relief and seeing that his children made it home safely. Yet he radiated an unexplainable, unconditional love for each of us. And then He stood tall and raised his hands and the staff and motion towards the sky. And with that, the clouds parted. It was a surreal moment.

:

A strange silence. Fell on the crowd. The only sound that could be heard was that o f t he s ame piano playing t he twinkling sound. It seemed to be accompanying what seemed to be raindrops as they slowly floated down from the sky, the droplets illuminated and caught the light beautifully as they descended on each one of us. As we stood there with arms stretched, open wide, looking towards the heavens beautiful magic of their own a re thirsty skin soaked up each tear, shaped droplet as fast as it fell. They had a density of a light oil and had a sweet f ragrant that, engulfed your senses. Our soul could feel the very essence of God's love and with each drop, it nourished our p arts skin. These drops of love, penetrated our souls and filled our hearts. And we've lingered here until the magic and the music ended. And at that time, my thought was our God reigns. And you can choose how to spell that. And the meditation ended. And the lesson I learned that day was God's love is unconditional it's available for anyone who seeks him with an unquenchable thirst. He will nourished our p arts skin and fill our hearts and soul with an amazing unconditional love. So when I look at the weather forecast for today, I say, let it rain This is Lori signing off.
